Review: Warrior Meal

Image
The Rx Review: Reporting on Fitness and CrossFit News , John Michael Bric This week we take a moment to review a whole-foods-based meal replacement called Warrior Meal. Item:   Warrior Meal Price:   $29 USD (450 grams) Retailer:  Warrior Meal Purchase:   www.WarriorMeal.com Buying protein and ‘meal replacement’ powders can be a real gamble these days. Head to any supplement store and you’ll generally find dozens and dozens of different brands, all aiming to the be the ‘best supplement’ and ‘market leader in protein powder’. With the fitness industry growing each year, many brands are trying to capitalise on this by selling cheap products at a high cost. The problem is, most of us aren’t scientists or doctors, and don’t have the ability to test the powder to see just how good it is. Many times, we simply have to take a product on face value, or try to do as much research as we can on the product and brand. Some obvious things to avoid when buying protein powd...

Image
The Rx Review: Reporting on Fitness and CrossFit News , Contributor 2019 marks almost a decade since The Rx Review was found. Since then, the website has reviewed dozens and dozens of CrossFit and functional fitness items, providing a wealth of info for fitness enthusiasts across the world. Since the boom of the internet, review sites have been a great way for people to find out more about items and services before forking out money on them. yet, at the same time, you have to wade through pages of results in a search engine, many of which are saying exactly the same thing (often quite literally). People have also learnt the system a bit better, and realise that many reviews aren’t from genuine users, but have been bought and paid for by the seller. The other problem is that you need to know what you’re looking for in the first place. The right keywords to use to get the results you want, and then you need to look through hundreds (sometimes thousands) of products, and their rev...

The CrossFit Games, is one of these, who enforce their own drug testing . This has resulted in the banning of several athletes. Most notably Australian Ricky Garard , who was stripped of his podium finish at the 2017 CrossFit Games and given a four year suspension for testing...
